Two Reviews in One! RHOA and Brandy & Ray J!!

IDK if it was Youtube or my shoddy wireless connections but it took me literally ALLL DAY to load this review.  As per yesterday's posts I recorded it but wasn't able to get it posted. Sunday Night was reality show double header with featuring the Real Housewives of Atlanta and the Norwoods of LA. First Kim and Kandi incessantly drained subjecting us to Kim's flat as hell tone deafery in the studio.  That trash literally pissed me off.  Phaedra and Apollo are still posing and taking awkward family photos featuring their new little one Aydan Apollo who expressed himself concerning the photo shoot quite appropriately.  Nene's still recovering from last week's blow out with Greg and her mood is exacerbating by Cynthia's fiance's Peter's Uber bad attitude.  Sheree's awkwardly auditioning for Atlanta's theatre district and racing Kandi in her recently repossessed Aston Martin. #GirlBYE

From the Atlanta we head to LA for the Season Premiere of the Brandy and Ray J's A Family Business.  We are introduced to Ray J's new girlfriend and see Brandy debate the decision to join the Cast of Dancing with the Stars. Ludacris comes through for a feature in Ray J's single Celebration which I still have yet to hear.  That about rounds out the episode and you can find my reactions via video below.

Dear Tasia: Girl... You Was Pregnant?!?

Well word on the blogosphere is that Fantasia was pregnant by her former fling with, the very married father of two, Mr. Antwaun Cook.  Apparently, soon after being notified of the alienation of affairs suit filed by Mrs. Cook, Fantasia aborted the child.  Soon after is when she was attempted suicide.  I'd heard this before.  My friends questioned the sudden weight gain and I just attributed to the stress of the lawsuit.  Unfortunately my thinking was wishful.  I made a video after hearing the news. You can find it below along with a little letter to Tasia Mae.   I'm super disappointed but honestly I'm not inclined to judge Fantasia.  I believe that she was lied to and take advantage of and her situation was not at all aided by her public status or the lack of support and direction she's received from her family. Shoutouts to Aunt Bunny and Fanny's manager Brian. They seem to be the only ones keeping it funky with Fantasia regardless of her feelings.  She needs that kind of transparency. It sucks that all the drama and scandal distracts from the talent and heart that Fantasia  has. As for Antwaun, I think he's a manipulating monster who's so self centered he's completely oblivious of the weight of his decisions on those he supposedly loves.  He's a failure! He needs help before he cause wreaks any further havoc on his children's lives.   And I'd be more than willing to tell him to his flat ass face.  Send him my links.

Dear Tasia, I love you! Stay way from that clown girl.. he don't care about you, he's still using you.  Before you were a distraction to his failing marriage and now after it's all hit the fan he needs you and your forgiveness and attention to make himself feel better and pacify the fact that now the whole world sees him for the worthless pile of epidermis that he actually is. Ugh! Forgive yourself for falling victim and learn to love you girl, flaws and all. We're all entitled girl.  Handle your business and carry on. Call me girl, I'm here for you.  And tell your cutie pie brother Rico I say hey :-)

Real Housewives of Atlanta Episode 6 Review

Back again to talk Housewives.  Not too much going on in this episode.  Kim's still disillusioned and under the impression that she's an musical artist.  That's right we must contend with her strong and wrong completely tone deaf non singing.  I mean if this is not a clear testament of the overall degredation of musical integrity .. I will wake up a petite white woman in the morning.  Kandi's been busy writing and has penned a new song for Kim but the Princess of Adultery ain't feeling it.  Being as though we've reached the irrelevant information quota for the post, Ms. Zolciak will not be discussed any further.  Phaedra is still well past pregnant.  Ole girl is looking like the Great Mount Bougie and seems to think the rest of the world is ignorant to the pre-natal process. I'm over her.  We've got guest appearances by Leon Robinson as well as Latavia formerly of Destiny's Child.  Nene is still trying to hold her family together while Cynthia is still trying to determine whether she's ready to officially start a family of her own with common law fiance and club owner "Too Cool" Peter.  The hot messery is ever present and as always I've got my two cents. Check out the review and feel free to leave yours as well. See you next week!

Black Girls Rock

Be still my ever beating heart. BET managed to put together a beyond decent empowering and inspiring awards show. I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't witness it with my very own retinas.  Last night ( Sunday Nov. 7, 2010) BET aired, Black Girls Rock, an awards show sponsored by The Black Girls Rock Organization which aims to celebrate and support the lives and achievements of Black women who've made major contributions in politics, culture and entertainment.  The organization and awards show is the brain child of famed DJ Beverly Bond and featured a star studded host of successful and powerful beautiful brown women.  This year Missy Elliot, Major General Marcelite J. Harris, Keke Palmer, Iyanla Vanzant and Living Legend Ruby Dee were honored. Other well deserving women(mad Black girls) making major waves and doing outstanding work received honorable mentions as well.  Additionally, the evening featured several stunning superstars that provided memorable performances throughout.  I caught myself grinning at several points throughout the show.  With a few moments meeting all my present needs.   Ya'll know I had to leave my 2 cents.  Get into the review below.

I really loved the show.  I thought it was well executed and the message behind it put a battery in my back.  I It is super rare that BET gives me the opportunity to be proud to be a Brown Girl so I'm running with this one. I loved everyone that was honored as well as the performers.   If you missed the performances you can find great video footage on one of my trade secret go to blogs TheGrapeJuice.net.  Click here and go on and get you a piece.   I can't wait to get my invitation as I'm clearly a Black Girl who Rocks. I think you should come through too.  Let's work hard so we can get there.  Who Ridin'? Don't forget to leave a comment.  Let me know if you liked the review and/or if you caught the show. I'd love to know what you think!

Real Housewives of Atlanta Episode 5 Review

Bald Spots and Pickles and Dildo’s Oh My!

The Elite of Atlanta’s most Embarrassing are at it again.  This week’s review features special guest Miss P.  We decided to join forces to judge these heauxs I mean housewives.  So get all the way in.  Kim and her kiddies weren’t really that prevalent this episode which further proves that God does hear and answer prayer.  Phaedra and her homo, I mean husband pose for prego flicks and elect to use pickles as props.   She said she did it as a nod to the random cravings that often accompany pregnancy. * Blink Blink Blink *I don’t see it.  I do  however wish to congratulate her for outing her huband on national TV.  Apollo sho did take that pickle didn’t he? #HowUDOIN  Kandi’s daughter Riley is dealing with an absentee daddy and Kandi gets quite emotional when chatting her mother about Riley’s clear ambivalence toward building a relationship with her father. Sad.   Nene is still trying to get used to her new extremities, specifically her breast and her new contoured nose.  <shrugs> I guess. She and Greg are still on the outs which is clearly having an effect on Nene’s emotinonal state.   Sheree has her second date with” Dr. I don’t have any hair on the top of my head” where he continues to prove himself inappropriate, awkward and just plain annoying.  Cynthia plans a Mother’s Day Brunch for the ladies to attend at which the conversation ranges from sex toys  to long term marriage separation.  It’s all going doing this week.  Check out the review...
